Course
Overview
ABD's Understanding Our Environment is an enriching series of books for students in grades 1 and 2. The series motivates students to connect with their surroundings by developing an awareness of their natural, social and cultural environment. The book encourages an 'Activity-based' approach rather than a 'topical' approach in the curricular area. The different domains of learning, i.e., cognitive, affective and psychomotor (head, heart, hand) have been incorporated in an integrated manner. It inculcates theme-based learning skills in conjunction with the latest syllabi enlisted under the objectives of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. The series shapes a variety of transversal 21st-century skills and develops their innate holistic learning.
