OverviewThe path to good writing involves studying grammar. But what is grammar? “Grammar” in its strictest sense is the essential rule that we use to create meaningful sentences. Dynamic English Grammar and Composition is a series of five books (Classes 1 to 5) designed to teach the basic concepts and terminology of English grammar. They will help young children to improve their grammar by guiding them inductively towards accurate understanding and use of grammatical patterns. The books are written in lucid, accessible and friendly style. An attempt has been made in making grammar comprehensible and relevant to contemporary usage, in tune with the guidelines listed in the recently revised National Education Policy, 2020. It is intended for young learners of English who want to acquire a coherent knowledge of English grammar. The books are full of extensive examples and a large number of full-filled exercises to encourage practice and perfection. Covering three essential skills, viz., reading, writing and speaking, the books equip the students with methods and tools to comprehend grammatical patterns. Emphasis is placed on gradually increasing the complexity of a topic. The overall goal is to help students write grammatically correct sentences, and to bring the child, as quickly as possible, to the point where he/she can read and understand basic grammatical structures. The child is led by easy steps from the study of the simplest sentences to the more difficult and complex forms of the language. There are ample revision tests placed in the course of the books for the teachers to continually assess the progress of a child. The books are well illustrated keeping in mind the young age of the students.
